The pedal in the picture was made by Dirk Hendrik and Im pretty sure that's waterslide decal and not a silk screen.echorec wrote:It certainly looks beaten up enough to be 10+ years old, but an actual Wobulator prototype would be close to 25 years old now. I don't remember many clean clones with pro silkscreening in 2007, so there's some slim chance his story (or at least parts of it) check out. One hiccup (beyond just general skepticism) is the little 'dh' at the bottom. Dan Coggins' was the engineer and Vlad was the founder. So what is 'dh'---a working title? Also, I don't think I've ever seen any Lovetone prototypes in the wild. Perhaps if you took that apart, you could make a stronger case that it's an actual Lovetone build. ---Just throwing out my initial thoughts, for the sake of entertainment.
I had a production Wobulator circa 2009 and it was buggy, too. I couldn't get the pan to work in stereo or something like that. You would think it would be fairly simple to use, but it was kind of a pain to get nice sounds, by employing both channels. ----The Vox Vibravox, however, was really easy to get great sounds from, and it was a 2-channel trem/vibe box. I still think it's a shame those were discontinued. To this day, it's better than most tremolos you can get your hands on.

Well there you go. I figured the 'dh' would shed some light on its origins. Thanks for the input.whoismarykelly wrote:The pedal in the picture was made by Dirk Hendrik and Im pretty sure that's waterslide decal and not a silk screen.

I think MGR stores just jack up their prices on Reverb to make up for fees. It's available for $179.99 + 15 shipping through their site:comesect2.0 wrote:Aghh, I see, I'm an idiot sittin it a parkin lot with too much free time..
