this is one reason i lean towards standing in the front of the crowd...the sound usually sucks, but at least i don't have to deal with the basketball player who apparently follows me around the Central Atlantic area just to stand in front of me.

I mostly go to stuff that's not crowded enough that it's too hard to move. But every time I'm at a busy show Mr Tall is there.

all the changes and "improvements" in mountain bikes since the 1990s are an atttempt by influencers, especially in the industry press, to turn mountain bikes into engine-less motorcycles and have basically ruined them for the experience of actual cycling. nobody needs disc brakes or forks with 2" of travel.
