It's sad, her decent into madness was pretty fast. She hooked me up with some gear in the past, even used my cat on her FB cover pic for awhile. She used to be cool to talk too. Right around the discounted 60$ pedal runs, it seems she escalated her crazy levels. I've had friends lose their minds before and you can clearly tell by her nonsensical posts at that point that the crazy train left the station. It sucked un following her on all social media, but it was just depressing to watch the train wreck. I kinda felt the kick started failure was oncoming, hence why it was the only Devi project I didn't back. This thread however I can't seem
To stop reading. It's like a jerry springer episode. I used to feel bad for her decent to madness. Now it seems I can't stop watching this and chuckling but also feeling horribly bad for dwarfcraft. The good fellows at dwarfcraft don't deserve any backlash from devi's ongoing train ride to craZy land.

Question: why has no one attempted to make a Console since the debacle

Was it not a legitimately awesome idea

This is like a reality tv producer's wet dream. The type of show Bravo would pick up for a weekly primetime slot.
If I had a production company I'd get the ball rolling so DE can get paid, settle debts and get help...while taking 10% for the idea and labor, 5% for craycray tax, and an extra 34% for the inevitable litigation and duress.
Dumbles, Klons and pleated pants...I'm there, dudes :snax:

But that's about it.

An awesome idea but kind of a logistical nightmare. It was going to be great because you could be able to buy all the different flavor Devi circuits much cheaper not having to buy the metal box each time. And she was going to make non-fuzz circuits, which was exciting to me. And then there were going to be other manaufacturors supposedly on board to have cartridges. Which knowing how Devi works could have been an exaggeration or wonderful markting hype. It worked on me.

It worked on me, too.

I'm really not sure why someone hasn't said, "Fuck it, I'll make that"

modular effects systems have been around for 30+ years now, they never did well in any iteration for whatever reason.
I think devi was catering more to videogame cartridge nostalgia feels more than actual innovation tbh. Maybe if a company like EQD did it it would take off a little, but even if all those other builders started making carts the idea was doomed from the start if she was the only one supplying the platform for it.

also wow this hit 1000 posts pretty quick. dunno whether that's a good thing though

On practicality, I don't see the problem, but on getting other companies in the game, I agree. Was Red Panda the only outside company that ever developed for that platform?

Shit probably only really works when the whole module/platform system is open so multiple companies have incentives that don't just amount to selling another company's platform, like how there are all the alternate non-API 500 series racks for studio gear.
