that looks BOSS. i'm.... not letting myself buy anything. i mean. i really want a pair of the new WMD VCA (Trident?), but i don't need anything right now.

jebus. tried to list everything i don't have racked, there's still about 30 modules i just can't let myself let go of. but put all this up for now -

https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... 4&t=234900

using this rack, super digging it -

only modules i have on order is that massive weird gate thing, the Flux, and a Natural Gate. don't really need either, dunno if i'll hold on to when they (eventually) arrive.

that rack is super amazing. I don't think you can make it any better. it is an all purpose rack so you can pull the drums out or pull the midi out or something. maybe an ES-3 without pams or midi. pull the blob. then sequence from the computer and delay from the computer.

only sat down a few times with it, loving it so far.

yeah. the Blob is just my favorite hands on delay. i could probably ape how i use it with setting up some Live effects racks. i like the Pam's in because it's so damn versatile and it lets me play with the rack standalone or as a piece of a home studio?

i guess i still see loots as modular in a way? it still makes sense to me to have a hardware synth section, a rack, the computer with Live, all integrated but also all pieces to use separate from each other?

jebus. i mean. i usually have decent luck moving stuff, but i think almost 4 g's of loot is headed out Monday. i do always try to go a touch under normal pricing, rather move stuff quicker than worry about $10.

a Minilogue XD Module just shipped, have a Typhon paid down, talk me out of grabbing a Analog Heat 2?

edit - never mind. sold too much loot. ordered a Heat. woooooo?

i mean, i baby my stuff, but i DO use it. so it feels like trying to price it a little cheaper is just the rental fee?

lol. and. you know. if i sell a TON of stuff decently quick, don't even feel the loss of possible profits?

Looks like Ladik is not shipping to US at present; garh! I would gladly send the Ladik them money for a Drum Boy / Drum Girl combo at present as I have... an idea...

TRUST IN THE DIRTY DRUM IDEAS.

that sucks. i know US can't ship to Chile right now, a couple other places. lightly impacted my wife's bidness.

anybody have any experience with Overbridge? i love the IDEA of it, i've heard horror stories.

looooooooks like i might end up with a Digitone Keys. to go with the Heat, which are both Overbridge enabled. would sort of leave my Cycles useless, unless i use it as a dedicated FM drum machine. which. it is GOOD at. dunno.

i know the Keys has 4 stereo outs, not sure if all of those appear over USB. but if they do, and the Overbridge lets me use the Heat as an insert for soft synths and incoming audio... yes. yes PLEASE.

murrrrr so, MIDI runnings question -

going to have the Pulsar-23, DigiKeys, Analog Heat, Cycles and Minilogue XD. all of them except the Pulsar have USB MIDI.

anybody used a cable like this for USB to DIN MIDI?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071KLC884/

i know for bi-directional USB MIDI talkings, one would need a USB MIDI host to handle the data transfering, but with a DIN MIDI in and out on the Pulsar and the mmMIDI, those cables out my computer should suffice?

iiiiii have a 3-5 extra days of next next week, loots should be here by then, i have an EXCITE.

I've used overbridge but only for digitakt. It was... a little finicky but fine? :idk: I spend most of my time with it not hooked up, but it's a "nice that it exists" thing for me/

A lot of stuff I'm trying to buy is out of production or out of stock. I feel like at this point it is easier to buy real vintage Beatles albums than rare eurorack modules where there were 10 units sold in 2012.

I'm diving back into Euro.
Sold all expensive modules and cases/power over a year ago.
I jumped in couple years ago. Bought too much too fast and was overwhelmed.
This time I'm taking it easy and taking my time.
I'm excited to figure this out.

Bought a new case/power and a MN DPO.
Need some sort of envelope. Not sure if I want Maths or ASDR or other yet.
Still have a bunch of cheaper utilities.

Look at the new WMD Javelin. It's an ADSR, but has a lot of other stuff. Not gonna slew like Maths, though.
