That’s hot.

I just got in an Epiphone LP Classic Worn. Needs frets polished if I’m gonna do boomer bends, but otherwise it’s really, really nice. I had an 80s Gibson LP Studio for a little bit when I was in high school and this is better than my memory of that guitar.

I've put a white scratchplate/pickguard on my Noventa Jazzmaster along with some white P90 covers - it doesn't look quite as pale in daylight as in the photo, but I'm still thinking about trying a vintage white instead.

I like it more than the mint green and black covers it came with either way.

I like the guitars on this page! And the skullservant weirdo axes, omg.

Here's the Epiphone '56 Gold Top I got recently. I think it's made in China either in 2010 or '15 (the headstock suggests the former, but theres a different serial sticker on the control cavity plate that points to the latter?). No consistent info to be found on these serials, but it doesn't matter to me. There's a 'USED' stamp on the headstock that I think means it's a refurbished factory second? The only flaw I can find is an irregularity in the neck binding on the upper part of the neck (first 3 frets), where the underside seems to be a little thinner than on the top side. I think it's just cosmetic though, the neck seems perfectly fine otherwise. The binding where the fingerboard meets the body is also missing, most likely from when the previous owner replaced the pickups. I'll probably get that fixed when I inevitably switch out the pups to some lower output ones down the line (it has Tonerider Hot 90s in it now).

Other than that I really like it. Great player, good intonation and tuning stability, and I do like the look of a gold top way more than I expected.

Cool guitar! I like a goldtop.

Got this last week, required some TLC but now having a blast.

Not my first lap steel, but I only just got serious about it and fancied a little treat - will probably shift the old one if this works out longer term. So far I prefer the string spacing and it feels a bit better in the way that guitars just do sometimes even though I can't put my finger on precisely why. The weight and shape are nice when lap playin, and vertical tuners like this are way better (and despite being many decades old they're better tuners...). The stand is great actually, they may be called "lap" steels but it's a more comfy way to play

Surrounded by chaos because sadly that is my music room/office

Just realised my other steel is in the background, feeling newly left out. The recording king is shockingly good for the price actually for starting out. Maybe it shouldn't be surprising considering lap steels really are just a piece of wood with a pickup and bridge and tuners... But, this does feel like a nice upgrade (and let's be honest, a present to myself).

I've always wanted an Explorer shaped guitar, but was apprehensive about making the financial commitment, incase I didn't vibe with it, for shape or weight reasons. So I took the plunge on a super affordable Harley Benton version instead (made even more affordabler by being B-stock):

It comes with a pair of EMGs and Grover locking tuners, and the whole thing cost about as much as a pair of EMGs and some Grover locking tuners. At worst, I've bought some decent guitar hardware, and a pointy piece of wood.

After a couple of hours with it (mostly chugging open E and gurning in the mirror, which is the optimum way to test out a new guitar), I'm definitely vibing with it. I think the body is slightly smaller than a real Explorer, it definitely feels a little lighter than expected, which was sort of what I was hoping for. It needed a few minor adjustments right out of the box, but for a dirt cheap B stock guitar by shitbox brand (supposedly, I've never owned a HB before), this thing is pretty fun. Plays great. Feels great. EMGs are bonkers. I'd also heard these things are a bitch for neckdive, but I don't get any at all. So this guitar defies both expectations, and gravity. Get rekt, Newton.

Being super pernickety, I just wish it had one of those 80's shredder hockey stick headstocks, pointing downwards, TO HELL. Can't have it all for £250 I guess.
