As for aftercare, just spray the thing with liquid bandage. No more messy vaseline/preparation H and plastic wrap. Spray it on and about a week later it's all healed. You can even shower with it and not do the awkward posturing to avoid it getting wet. yah. i've only had the one tat, but it did take about 5 hours in 2 visits, and i waited a year after deciding i wanted it to make sure it wasna a passing fancy. done the same with the other two things i want. and i got my first (and only) tat at 34.... i guess all those kinda meshed up into it being a realllllly big deal for me. so for me there was some intimicy with the grrL that did me up.
plus... i got fucking body highs like 3 tabs of e each time. shit felt GOOD.

urrrrrr........ getting Zelda Hearts (well...... they were always Link's but you now what i mean) on my right chesticle. all 8 bit and blocky. i want 3 all the way filled in and 1 3/4 filled. kinda a life clock thing. going to get a 1/4 filled every time i make it another 2.5 years.
nerdy. have to work on the design for the other i want.

It's true about the grrl thing, a cousin of mine did it with his fiancé and got to put a big tribal over it less than a year later. My brother and his girl got matching amor vincit omnia ('love conquers all' in latin) inked then she dumped him 5 months after he proposed to her, though she moved back in two months later.
I got Radiohead lyrics on my arm and they're still together and making good music. Band stuff is fine.
