Based on the boxes/colours I'm guessing that they're rebadges of ones that have been around for years. I have a couple branded as Kokko. Reverb was decent for a cheap one-knobber, I used the Vibe for quite awhile and the Vibrato was decent (and had a momentary soft switch, which was rare for cheapies). (Ironically, tho, it looks like the Amazon line hasn't picked up any of those yet.)
Totally fine $22-style pedals.

Modal continues to cement its place as an elite force for delivering a mixed bag.
I just don't understand these. In terms of sound, I'd give these a 9.5/10. They're clean and punchy without being too sterile or glossy. What I cannot condone is the 3-octave keyboard or the seemingly mandatory external editing. If I'm going to spend $800 on a digital platform that requires a computer for editing, why wouldn't I just get another soft synth and some world-class effects? The 3-octave KB is an absolutely useless addition for me. That's an uncrossable line, and I'm not even a serious, technical player. You've got to go keyless or offer a 4-to-5 octave option. Who are you pleasing with 3 octaves? That's a bad compromise. If I'm going to be required to look at a monitor to edit the synth, then why would I go for software, masquerading as hardware, needing external hardware and software for maximum performance. That's the most pointless concept ever.
Modal is one of the few companies making music products, that I actually wish would charge more. The small screen and unfavorable knobs-to-features ratio are shortcomings that can't be ignored. No complaints on the sound from me---the FX sound excellent, and there's a lot of potential for sound design and cinematic/ambient applications. For most companies, the features and the concept are the hook. Then the audio leaves you disappointed. Modal is on the other end of the spectrum. With Modal, the sound is quite appealing, but the supporting features are just so poorly conceived.

According to Gear Gods, Amazon has commissioned the pedals from the Chinese manufacturer NUX.

NUX it is. I like the "unter its own Amazon Basics line" in that headline

Yeah, I'm tempted by that. I absolutely don't need it, but it would be nice to use as a little mini expander for my Matriarch. Also, seems fun to be able to build one, even if it's really just assembling the pieces

Agreed. That price. I have and LOVE the paragraphs. Hard pill to swallow for a reverb/trem that doesn't have presets and all that jazz...but GAS.

Yes, on their heads when they do stick-ups to afford the new hot pedals.

Yes, on their heads when they do stick-ups to afford the new hot pedals.
They also wear them with high heels on street corners to afford all the new pedals
