Played Call of Juarez:The Cartel today...and....:barf: It sucks!
I couldn't even make it past the first gunfight without dying 5 times or something!

traded it (at BlockBuster) for FFXIII. haven't played that one in a while, figured I'd give it a second chance :idk:

A few new tricks tossed in but it's been a bit stale/tired so far. Really enjoyed the first game though :idk:

yah. i likededed it ok. but the new voice actor's not as good and the story is weak and shallow. meh.

still fun to play. i do like the control/power set/switching upgrades.

I played the Battlefield 3 alpha and...I dunno, man.

Maybe it was just that the only map offered was Rush, which I don't think is a fitting mode for a non-Bad Company game. Conquest is better; on rush you just sprint into a field of snipers for the entire game.
Also I was disappointed in the support class that I was really looking forward to. Maybe it's my pathological hatred of snipers in all FPS games that associates camping of any sort with sniping. I know the point is to deploy your machinegun and look out for enemies, but...I dunno. My play style right now is more like "GET THE FUCK IN THERE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, TEAM?! WHY THE FUCK AM I THE ONLY ONE ATTACKING THE BAAAAAASEEEEEEEE?!".

I can't stand when some retard gets in the tank and just takes potshots at the enemy base. Unless it's obviously suicide, I always blitz the flag when I get a tank -- you are guaranteed a few kills and when it's almost dead just bail out and last as long as you can. It's disorienting to the other guys and gives our team a chance to move their overly-cautious asses in and capture it. Something I KNOW they aren't going to do on their own. I have to do it for them, always.

Except on those rare, glorious occasions when you meet an equally assault-happy teammate.

It's not about your score, it's about winning the round :grumpy:

Dishonored looks excellent as well :thumb:
I'm interested to see how the possession abilities work and how well they can balance the game with it.

As far as military shooters like Battlefield 3 and COD, I'm just burnt out on them. Never was a fanboy of either but I played each series a fair amount, I need a break.

Can't wait for
Darksiders II
Bioshock Infinite
Dead Island
Batman Arkham City
and
FIFA 12

Achtaine's playing style -

Teammates - "so... just.... just the tip right?"

Achtane The Pillager - "yeah, yeah. of course baby.... just the tip.... *angry thrust* OF MY HAIRY BALLZ!!! FEEL THE WIDOW'S PEAK!! BALLZ DEEEEEEP!!!"

I tried it once and couldn't get into it. I'm sure it's a good game, but it just feels too dated to me. And I'm not really into isometric-view games from that era.
People say it's an amazing game though :idk:

I think I will embark on my SC2 Journey now that I can practice risk free.

All the lingo in the SC2 thread that I don't understand intimidates me but hell, it's just a game and a fun one at that :thumb:
