Missed the Neurosis/Yob combo here last week because of my job.

Idles and A Place to Bury Strangers just fucking killed it! That was easily one of my top 3 concerts! Both bands and the audience had so much energy. There was even a guy in a walker that crowd surfed in at least half a dozen songs. And I think the one guitarist in Idles spent more time in the crowd than he did on stage

This Is Not This Heat was one of the best things i've seen since i started seeing live music again in the fall of 2017. utterly stunning.

i'm trying to figure out a way to see Stereolab, the Psychedelic Furs, and two Ride shows in approximately a week and a half in September.

Just had an amazing week at the Øya festival. Some highlights were Daughters, Pom Poko, Kikagaku Moyo, Black Midi, Deathcrush, Thea Hjelmeland (only saw her last song because of work, sadly) and Idles.

I skipped this when he came to my town but perhaps shouldn't have? IDK it felt like a lot of money for not music at the time and maybe I had other plans. :idk: Probably not good plans though.

so i'm sorted to see Ride 9/28 in Asheville, N.C. it's the equivalent of driving to Noo Yawk, buy it's less fraught and the show's on Saturday so i can make a short weekend of poking around in the mountains. i may have to be content with this and one of the Stereolab gigs so i'll have the funds for the vacation in October.
