HI,

yes sorry the pcbs have been delayed once again and now I have been told they will ship on Jan 19("or earlier"). We have everything else sitting ready to go now so they will move out asap once they arrive. I apologize for this but originally i outsourced the pcb assembly this time since it should have made everything quicker, but now it has taken about a month longer than i was quoted and probably I could have done them in house at the same speed with our own tools. There are some pics on my blog of the pile waiting for those into the pron.

When I had one, it must have been from the first or second batch you said you were thinking about a filtering option, Scott. Is this the filter you are talking about now, or was that one always in place?

Maybe I should also say that my rig is set to cut, so maybe it over-accentuates the higher registers that the Ct5 is able to reach.
Hi,

yes sorry my response also probably sounded crabby, i just meant to say it is a bit subjective. the number of comments compared to say the number units sold on that in particular would be about half a percent so it's not something I had gone too far out of my way to care about, bigger fish to fry so to speak.

i don't remember if the filter mentioned above was implemented on the very first firmware off the top of my head. All ct5's are more hi fi than the gb24 was though, no matter which version/firm and operate in general in a wider bandwidth of the audible specturm. For the next firm/rev k release we can add tune-able lpf to feedback the gb24 patch (this is where the current filter is now but it is fixed at some frequency), likely accessed by holding down the soft switch in that mode, turning some knob etc. I doubt a dedicated knob for this will ever appear on this pedal though, it's not a feature i consider fundamental to the idea.

Thanks for the update. Those pictures are super exciting!
Pretty blue sound-manglers, all in a box and (almost) ready
to go forth and conquer sonic mindscapes far and wide.

Man this is really having an effect on everything. I saw a GB24 go for $350 and someone is trying to sell a white fritter for $450.

Insane.

This will probably be my last pedal for awhile so I'm glad it's this. Wish this came in eurorack. Game changer.

The wait has started to feel pretty long. But man, seeing that picture of all the ct5s in a box made it so much better. Sorry about the delays Scott. I hope everything arrives on the new new scheduled date. I'm once again super excited. As if my excitement hasn't been reignited just about every day haha

That's crazy, that's more than I sold my Ct5 for!

I'm in the same boat with phanta as far as ears go -- I snagged one of the first Ct5's as a 'high fidelity' GB24, but then I realized that the original just served me better, line noise and all, esp. since I'm too dumb to use modes 2 and 3.

ya we will probably make a eurorack and 5U version before the end of this year.

yes all the modes are accessible on all revisions using the latest firmware. The difference is just how you select/access them.

how do you access the the 3 new modes on the newer version?
gonna test the version I have and if the modes are worth it for me
might sell this one for the new version
who knows though? freedom is what I'm all about baby
and I like a bit of grit so...

oh, can the non Q switch CT5's be modded to have a Q switch or is that a board thing?
and should just buy the new version...?

You access them with the Q switch, pushing it up or down.

There is no easy way to add a Q switch to the rev h/i boards unfortunately.
