oh absolutely!

It's just that while I drink black most of the time, I love the occasional bullet proof so much
that it becomes hard to even imagine someone not liking it as much

and:
coffee + coconut + stir =/= coffee + butter + coconut + BLEND
totally different sensations, too
especially in a mouthfeel way

can't believe someone doesn't find this a delicious treat :wha?:

But yeah, tastes differ...
And if you just put the coconut oil in the cup and stir a little...
that oil spill on your coffe sure isn't very pleasing to look at
I didn't add butter because I don't do animal products so I just went with the coconut. The internet suggested this was an ok thing :idk:

I stirred it quite a lot but still got quite a bit of oil sitting at the top of the cup so probably not enough. But I couldn't be bothered to blend, and again the internet suggested you could get away with a vigorous stir.

It wasn't awful I just didn't like it as much as normal coffee. Maybe I'll try doing it properly by blending some time

ah, allright OK,
I do very little dairy, but butter & the occasional cheese I find hard to replace
don't think margarine would cut it as a replacement

Huh, I'll have to give "coconut only" a whirl tomorrow,
maybe I won't even miss the butter

It wasn't disgusting or anything. Tasted different in a not unpleasant way. Just greasier than I think coffee should be.

I'm pretty good with eating and drinking whatever though (taste&texture-wise not diet-wise)

ok, I can now confirm:
blending makes all the difference...

stirring gave me oily black coffee with a hint of coconut = not for me
it's not horrible, but makes the idea of adding (that much) fat to coffee seem absurd

blending gave me the looks of added milk and froth on top with a rounder more robust coconut taste (if that makes sense)
it's nice enough without butter, but it lacks the creamy texture and that last "oh yeah" of taste

IMHO YMMV

OK cool. The adding too much fat is definitely my experience so I'll try blending later if it's better!

Ok blending was for sure nicer. Very different texture, kind of like some sort of blended milk coffee drink which is mostly coffee.

But still won't be doing it often haha

oh for sure, it's not for every day...
but once in a while as a treat after a hearty meal: yum!
almost a dessert if you add plenty butter or even something sugary...

is there a good vegan alt-butter that's quite... buttery?

Idk probably? It's not the sort of thing I tend to hunt out so I have no idea lol

I don't think I have admitted to this be in the last 6 months I've been using a standard drip coffee maker due to time, live sucking and the need for coffee.. its a cuisinart, it's ok and has a timer... :idk:

Miyokos butter is the best I've tried. Second best is Melt. I don't really use butter much so I generally just have a little tub of one of those in my fridge.

Has anyone tried barley milk? I really like it. The brand I see around here is Take Two. I normally just make a pour-over in the morning and drink it black, but my friend gave me a bottle of the Take Two barley milk and I was super into it.

I feel this. Honestly wish we had one. My little kitchen is so small that I don't want to add another appliance, but I miss having my coffee start brewing automatically at the same time my alarm goes off.

I'll make it myself, then I just take a chunk and plop it in there, put some creamer in, stir it up and done. LOL. Lasts like 6 hours as the usual. hahaha
