I am infinitely jealous of the frequencies even the most mediocre bassists command, and you're a very good one. So stop talking silly and appreciate the ribcage crumbling power you wield.

My inability to play the wonderful thing is embarrassing. And my diminutive, if perfectly, perfectly formed stature forbids me from attempting to hold a double bass for fear of looking like an imp trying to hold up a violin. And the powers that be, being the bastards they are, made it the only thing I can bear hearing endlessly, and in fact desire endlessly to be enveloped in.

The grass is always greener my friend. Until you see that the grass you left was strewn with diamonds and clones of Marilyn Monroe/Tom Hardy for everyone.

basses rule. I started on bass and still consider myself a better bassist than guitarist but mostly I have been strumming the gert because I love chords and fuzz. There is a lot of sexy low-end action going down on this page.

01) HAWT. i am SO damn moist right now.

02) lol. that's why i started with bass as a kicken. i stopped growing at about 13, so i was this 6'4"ish gangly way too thin thing that actually looked taller than i look now because of lack of meat. but holding a guitar made me feel like i had a uke. and those are awesome. but not when you're a kicken.

03) so. fucking. HAWT.

i'm so weird. there's some really cool guitar stuff out there that i like listening too.... but i fucking hate playing with guitarists. guy that showed me how to play bass to start was a little Laotian guitar playing MONSTER that i will always love and adore. i aped the way he did stuff so long that there's... there's so much of him in me....

but... um..... you can chord on bass. get a sixer. go all neck pup. wash it out in reverb or delay. loop some chords. meander MEANINGFULLY all over it in the lower end.

DO IT.

I stand a mighty five six.

This allows me to get away with anything. Any assholery I get up to does not come off as assholery. It comes off as scampish.

My avatar is actual size.

I could fit in the palm of your goddamn hand as I burned the world down around you, and you would want to tickle my belly.

Not sure if I posted this one yet. It's called FDGL (Fast Dotted Guitar Loops) and my chain was The Elements (clean boost) into Timeline (super clean - almost brittle - delays on dotted 8th subdivision) into the OP-1 to record.

There are like thirty REVIVER stickers at 1919 Hemphill in Ft. Worth. Did you guys play there a while back?

Also, someone covered up the letters on one to make it say RVIVR.

We've played there a couple times. Love that place.

There is a band called RVIVR. We had already put out a full length and were touring full time around the time they started and sent them a polite E-Mail about not using our name. We got really condescending E-Mails back and that was their course of action, to take out the E's. Can't help but have 2nd hand embarrassment for them, but it's whatever. Not a bad band, not even comparable in sound. But they're douches so I just take their stickers off completely when I find them around. :p It's like hip hop beef.

Rough track. Needs polishing in the writing and the production. Constructive critiques welcome. Oh, and the Only distortion used is a Dwarfcraft Hair of the Dog.

A new composition I'm calling "Branches".

I'd like to have a female vocalist come in at some point in the song I think - like 3/4 of the way through. Maybe some minimalist percussive elements also.
