Just got word that there are five more guitars in front of me and it should only be a couple more weeks.
I can't help but get my hopes up.

I fully support a GSE derail! Gary's work is amazing! He spends upwards of 50 or 60 hours on each guitar.

Thanks! Dunno how hard it was to install, I left that to a professional hah. I actually liked the stock Mascis pickups as they were, they're more like a hot P90 than a jazzmaster pickup I feel, so left as is.
Got to use it at a proper volume last night, through a byoc distortion + into my plexi. My god. Closest I've gotten yet to my perfect guitar sound.

22weeks = 5 1/2 months = half the waiting time most people have had including multiple people in this thread =

Probably depends on what you order. One of their standard-issue models, it's possible. If it's super customized, anyone's guess. My experience has included both extremes (ordered a no-frills polished-aluminum Standard and got it in 5 weeks, sent a bass body to be refinished and get a custom neck/electronics and it's been just over 2 years). Either way, it'll be worth it.

For sure man, you're totally right. The wait doesn't matter, totally worth it.
I just know I'll get super super anxious haha.

I've never touched a egc, but I have played some trussarts and they were by far some of the nicest playable instruments I've ever touched. How do these compare to people who have played both?

Ive owned both. They are polar opposites. I had an early run steelcaster with a koa neck and ebony board. It was smooth and warm and giving as far as playability but ultimately not right for me ergonomically. The egc on the other hand is....stiff and extremely percussive. Notes shoot off the board like a fuckin cannon on those things. Also the neck has no angle and the board is flat flat flat so beware of that.
As far as sound they are also so far apart i cant really even begin to list the differences. Also i believe that the bodies on all of trussarts guitars are different these days so i cant really comment on what the new ones sound like.

I'm 10 months in to my wait, learned to let the anxiety go a looooong time ago with this one.

I ordered a Chessie, quoted 20-25 weeks originally. It's got plenty of custom options in terms of wiring and control plates and cosmetic aspects but it's still part of the standard product line so I hoped it wouldn't be this long. Oh, it's anodized head to toe which took forever with some fancy raw edge faux binding so that has been a major hold up too. Powder coat and raw finishes seem to happen much faster.
