This was made by my friend Jeff who works under the name Ozma Instruments. I'm picking it up in the morning.

The body is mahogany reclaimed from a table pulled out of the trash. The neck, similarly, is also mahogany, from an old fireplace surround.

The truss rod cover, electronics cover and the oval thing under the bridge were made from an old snack tray.

Pickups are Nordstrand NDC.

That Ozma looks great! I just checked out some of his other guitars, he has some cool looking stuff. Let us know how you like it.

I really like it. It's light, too, around 6 lbs 3 oz.

which is remarkable for an all-mahogany guitar. i'd expect it to be a pound-and-a-half heavier. is it chambered, is it the size and contour of the body, or is it just that the wood has aged and dried for decades?

It's not chambered, I think it's just because all the wood was old, though the body is a little on the smallish side.

hopping over from the Gasaholics thread to show y'all my new Fender Lead II. i have a lot of detailed observations, but suffice it to say that it's a nasty, dangerous little weapon, a rock and roll Saturday Night Special. i tried a couple of my song ideas on it and it's PERFECT for them.

Have one of the 80’s Fender Lead II, and can confirm. The neck is just a little bit too much baseball bat for me, though. I don’t like super thin necks, but I’d like this a little bit thinner, D shaped. Pickups on mine have a lot more guts than typical Strat pickups.

this one is a nice comfortable C shape, not too shallow or too deep. i'm at the doctor's right now, but I'll talk about it in detail later the more i play it, the more i like it.
