In the last week and a half I've gotten a job at a record store and doing sound engineering in an awesome venue...And my gal found work as a receptionist at a salon and salesperson at an antique mall. We're getting an apartment tomorrow and making the move to a new city. After seven months of being jobless, stuff is working out

This Saturday I'm going to a party at the Boston Children's Museum. I'm going to be in a children's museum from 9pm - 1am drinking. Dreams do come true.

i've been sitting around doing nothing while trying to find work and get things sorted. this, of course, tends to make me anxious and morose. my neighbor Barbara suggested i should play my guitar, so i got out my Eastman 000-sized acoustic and spent an hour playing old Hot Tuna ragtime blues songs that i used to play back when i was a teenager. it made me very happy, even though i'm sloppy as hell since i haven't played hardly any acoustic in ages. it made me feel like me again for a little while.
it's weird how anxiety makes me forget how music feeds my soul.

Yeah, but unfortunately I'm doing it online. I'm working during the course so I'm still getting paid huuuuge bucks.
Maybe I'll get 'em to send down to get my diploma or class ring.

Three things:
-My loan money came through
-I reorganized my board. It's awesome, and only going to get better with a gristleizer on the way and money set aside for the BitQuest.
-we got our first homework assignment today. It's shitty, but I'm not the only one having trouble with it and that makes me VERY happy.

today i put two new strings on a 5-year-old boy's tiny acoustic guitar and tuned it to an open E chord so he can play it without even having to use the fretboard. he was happy, and seeing a little kid playing the guitar warmed my heart like you wouldn't even believe.

My playing is feeling more fluid and less forced. Feels good.

Tonight I went on my first ride with a local bike group. All pretty awesome people, good way to see more of the City, exercises, all good things. Woo woo. I'm glad I almost crashed after I left the group and not while I was in the group
