Heh... Yeah. I really couldn't get the hang of the looping with it. I think what threw me off the most was that you had to hit an entirely different button to overdub instead of just hitting the same button to stack. It's really really cool and has a lot of features, but I must be a caveman over here haha. I think the coolest thing with it was to loop a heavy fuzzed out bar of thick chords and then slow it down during playback. HUGE sounding, and actually EXACTLY how Stephen O'Malley from Sunn O)))/KTL uses his.
Anndd I've been GAS'ing hard for a Whetstone ever since I saw the youtube video with the slowest possible sweep setting. Holy Hell!

Interestingly, I've heard a lot of folks who can't quite get around the Boomerang. It seems to be one of things that you either really dig or kind of dont'.

O'Malley's been using them for years and his loops are still kind of rough live with it. I just love with the DD7 unity isn't hard to dial in, no compression of heavy fuzz, and tap once to record, tap again to overdub. SO EASY

"Piano" chords from my yamaha pss-470 -> eau claire thunder -> cathedral with reverse reverb -> tafm with equal parts fuzz & "clean" = absolute beauty

Good to know I'll have one (DD7) waiting for me when I get home from work!

Speaking of Colorsound one knob fuzzes, I got to play my. Black Arts Ritual yesterday after being out of town over the weekend. Verdict : it smokes at low volume, not sure when I will get to crank my amp with it, but my guess is that it will sound awesome. It's also one of the coolest looking pedals I've seen, with the black reflective enclosure.

Woop woop! Glad to hear someone enjoys it. I just don't play guitar often enough, and I enjoyed other fuzzes better on bass.
