I hope this doesn't come off like a dick thing to say but wouldn't that EGC neck be better served in a higher quality body than a Squire?

The Mascis Squire is actually pretty decent quality for the money

well, lemme put it this way: I sold my early 00's MIJ jazzmaster and bought that mascis squier because I liked it a lot more.

yeah the Mascis is incredible, I honestly prefer mine to every non-vintage jazzy I've played.

also curious about this. I'm guessing neck dive isn't much of an issue with the weight of the jazzy body too?

sweet trio there by the way!

Only had a quick play through an amp, the Mascis doesn't sound heaps jazzmaster-y anyway. But yeah as you'd expect, bit brighter heaps hotter. Little bit of neck dive but not as much as I expected considering I got it built as thick as the Mascis's original neck.

Love the new neck, dase, congrats! Was it hard to install and set up? Did you consider getting EGC pickups too?

Not trying to derail from EGC, but I just looked at some of GSE's build pics on Facebook and apparently he "mills" his aluminum necks with a miter saw and a router. Holy crap that's amazing!! :omg: :omg: :omg:
