Even though things are really tough, my girlfriend has been absurdly supportive, and so have my friends. When everything is finally sorted out for me, I feel like I finally have an amazing net of people that genuinely care for me, and that I can rely on. Life is good.

just went to a local employment agency where they were actually enthusiastic about me. the woman i talked to said she'd have something "sooner rather than later." this would be really great considering that i havent worked a day in the last three years and am running out of funds to the point where i might have to sell my favorite electric guitar.

Got me a job interview tomorrow. A seasonal job, but good experience, at a good place, and more pay than I'm getting now, and another good thing for my resume, while I try to get that big career starting job.

Was feeling really tired after waking up and having breakfast even after my first massive mug of coffee... then totally realized i'd only had one sip and had a full mug of really nice hot coffee still!

There is this event that happens every few weeks in my city called the Food Truck Rodeo.
All the food trucks meet at the public market and sell their treats.
Tonight was the last one of the season.
The winners were tacos del corazon (made with beef heart) and home made pumpkin ice cream.
Mmmph.

Just got back from my Holiday in Scotland and Ireland, after a disgusting total travel time of 28 hours.

that's an absolutely lovely photo. i've always wanted to visit Scotland, where my mother's side of the family originated. i have a photo of the house in Edinburgh where one of my forebears lived in the 1700s. i think my natural tropism towards mountainous places comes from my Mom's people being from Scotland and my Dad's from Bavaria...i have mountains in my blood.

Scotland is beautiful. Last time I was there we were walking along a cool mountain ridge and saw a herd of literally hundreds of deer running along in the distance. I had no idea they gathered in groups like that!
