My first ILF post of my board:
I just need to make a few short cables (connectors in place on the top row) and a cable to connect the VP-Jr to the DMC-4 for looper level control.
The chain is:
IN -> Cubic -> WMD -> Polytope -> Nimbus -> Timeline -> micro thumpinator -> OUT to amp/DI/whatever

This is pretty much the way I intend to leave it. The WMD may get replaced by another filter at some point but right now it's the closest to the combination of sound and controls I am after.
If I really tighten up the bottom row I can get a 1590A in there, so I might work up a patchbay or bypass loop for the upper row at some point, but right now it's kind of nice to have the switches spaced out, especially the left most one on the Timeline.
Now to finish up the other board with all of my octave/fuzz/filter/bitcrush/ringmod stuff... The idea is that goes in front of this guy, with the option of just grabbing the Jr for more low key stuff that doesn't call for the loud stuff.

SSHHWING. Nice! You prefer the verb before the delay? Wouldn't you want it after to have it trail off nicely?

Nice first post.

Thanks!
Verb before Timeline because I wanted it before the looper which is a big part of my TL use. So far I like some of the reverb -> delay sounds so I'll go with it for now but I definitely considered running it the other way.
The micro thumpinator is basically an aggressive high pass filter to keep sub-sonic content to a minimum making life easier for your amp/speakers. Check out the [sfx] website for more info:

Subsonic meaning frequencies that humans cannot hear (30hz and below roughly) and that modern speakers try and fail to reproduce, its requires the most energy to produce low frequencies so essentially yer amp and cab are wasting energy and headroom to produce these useless freqencies
U being a guitarist u dont have to worry about any of that tho

Ive been wanting a micro thumpinator for a while now but i cant justify the price due to the euro to dollar exchange rate. I wonder if anyone would be down to build me something similar here in the states... Hmmm

Sub frequencies are not to be heard.
They are to be felt.
Also, very nice board, and welcome!

I haven't bee able to try it out yet, and there's not much to find about it on the web. But

I feel ya on too much dirt. I bring three of mine too each show I play based on how I feel that night or none at all. I dont think I could find nine different ones that could be useful on any given night. I do bring four or five with me but only three make it on the board.
jwar wrote:So after upgrading to a PT-Pro, I'm thinking of downgrading. lol. I have pedals out on loan and have a few I'm in the process of building, but I just don't need all these fucking pedals. I mean, yea they are fun as shit, but I feel like "what's the fucking point?" You know? I have way too much dirt.
Here's what it is looking like minus the TAFM leaving, the Sansamp is gone and Walkure is one loan. Oh and the Creepyfingers is toast. But I have a Basstard fuzz on the way, the Reptile will be coming back eventually as well as my Reptile fuzz, plus a Wren and Cuff Box of War is coming. Oh and I bought a Swell Pro.

Yea so, let's count them Walkure, Reptile, Box of War, B3K, Swell, Depth Charge, Woolly clone, Great Destoyer, Robot Devil. That's 9 dirt pedals on one board!
My tone sounds like complete and utter shit when I stack these! Also, I think I fucked my signal chain somehow because my tone is sucking in general right now. Soooooooooo annoying.
So I'm thinking of downgrading a bit. Getting rid of like 5 of those. That's a lot. And it will be a hard choice. Either that or just pulling them off my board. I need a good envelope filter and a good delay. The DD-3 is aight, but honestly the best delay I've had for bass was the Carbon Copy. The Timeline seems cool, but good grief, it has way to many options.
