I've been playing with the 'Rang as a delay (by lowering the amount of repeats and setting a short, delay-ish time) and reverse machine...infinite fun.

Looks awesome! Never tried a Boomerang but they seem badass. Pretty large though, they need a mini!

I have same kind of dilema now... my board is gettin smaller and there is so much pedals I would like to try.

Randy's Revenge should be here soon and I have some GAS for the Barbershop... but I don't have place left on my board.

It's so hard choosing. The Four Eyes is getting heavy use too, can't wait to pair it with a RR, fuck that should rule!

Dude, do you ever play your own pedals?

It's a little unsettling/unnerving actually. Are they really that bad? I know you do swirl finishes so bad's a given, but man... :wha?:

wtf man... :(

Holy Schnikes wrote:Until today, haven't posted in this thread in a long while with BILF and all that. Will clarify regarding my monster board for anyone who's like wtf?!?!

It's wired purposely obese for a basement studio setting. There's two of us and time is limited so we like to work out ideas with everything easily accessible for guitar/bass/synth/etc. I used a 4 channel TB looper, ran every pedal I could fit, tested placement FOREVER, and formed 4 separate bypassed chains. Switching stuff in/out or altering chain order is simple, works incredibly well.

The main signal is nice and clean, consists of guitar->vol->TB Loop->Faye Sing->RRR->E600D. The rest is bypassed until you need it. All power (2 PP2+s and a CIOKS DC10) is under the removable floors, most wiring is ran under shag. Here's a version I was using a few months back, still pretty much same though using a v2 Second Voice and Black Forest a lot lately.

The goal is to narrow things down and use just the large board for guitar.

I think your pedals look great man :)

+ The fact you're an Aus pedal builder is extra cool.

It's a little different than the pic, changes depending on the situation, but generally goes something like this:

Main Signal
Guitar -> vol -> TB Looper -> Faye Sing -> RRR -> E600D -> Amp

Loop 1
Black Forest -> Phantom Arcade -> Octasynth -> POG2 -> Elements -> Poly-Grace -> Echo Dream -> FrantaBit

Loop 2
AB Synth 5k -> Second Voice -> Four Eyes or LSTR -> VTF or DBA Robot or Clarinot

Loop 3
Fuck OD -> Unpleasant Surprise -> Super Puzzle -> Pharaoh -> Polytope

Loop 4
Lofi LJ -> Goatkeeper 3 -> Timeline

Probably gonna throw the Randy's Revenge in that last loop somewhere, not sure yet. Oh, and tuner goes wherever I can fit it at the time.

Thanks.

Music is all over the place right now, we share pretty different tastes and just getting this started. He's in a variety of local bands but leans toward older industrial jamz (Ministry, Pigface, Evil Mothers, Skinny Puppy, Horsey, REVCO, etc, etc). A drummer first and foremost, though proficient with any instrument he picks up, and very knowledgeable with triggers and sampling and programming, basically having a Mac onstage at all times. Big into keys and synths too.

Beyond my board, I'm simpler when it comes to the tech side of things ie programming/triggers/samples/keys. All new to me. I'm into looped soundscapes (ambient/atmospheric/noise drone/whatever) along with some controlled noise freakouts which I tend to mash with pretty straight forward stoner rock riffage.

So yeah, who knows how it'll come together in the end. While waiting for my amp we've been fucking off with noise experiments and loops, putting together some backing tracks and interlude pieces. Nothing too productive just yet but we'll get there.

I'm sure Fetch was joking, pointing out that your own pedals don't populate your board, and some kind of sarcasm didn't translate through the medium of text.

From what I've seen of him and his posts, he's a good lad full of joy.
