YESSSSSSSSS. I managed to find a way to use this riff I wrote years ago that I love so much but the rest of the song isn't that great, by putting it into a recent song where there was a bit that was lacking a lead guitar part, and it just happens to fit perfectly!

I feel like I'm on an upswing of things.

Not getting this job in DC is kind of a "blessing in disguise" I think. I'm really excited about moving downtown/east side Milwaukee and really getting involved there. I've got other job prospects around here that would be great (great city to get involved in arts non-profit development). I have some knowledge/minor connections in the Milwaukee music scene and could start a band with all the crazy-cool stuff going on.

I think I want to start a stoner-funk band. Like stoner rock mixed with post-punk dance sensibilities. That would be awesome.

Like is going well. I might become chairperson of fundraising for a national non-profit local affiliate. That would be the kind of thing that would make my resume 100x better than it is considering the field of work I'm trying to enter.
