Good song. Good lyricist. Intense album.

1.
I'm really happy we I finally had a chance to do the poetry matinée gig, with my band, read erotic poetry written Aleister Crowley and then palyed a full show of my band after that. (And we managed to record MOST of the show, a digi-release is to follow). I had wanted to do something like this for years. :joy:

2.
We're playing at the first Kiarama festival here in Finland, dedicated to all things slow and low. Two days of stoner, doom, and psych bands. And it seems - since the festival promoter so likes us - that we're replacing a band that was to go on stage just before the ending band. Huzzah for a good slot!

3.
I still don't have STDs.

I hope you're right hbomb! If there's any ilfers in or around Eugene gimme a holler and we can go get a beer or jam or something. :yay:

Thanks Kbit! I'm going to see if there are any university clubs or events around that I can go to, hopefully there'll be some cool things to do. If you and I were in the same geography we would totally be friends. no doubt in my mind. Good luck on finding a drummer, that'll probably be my struggle once I get settled in a bit more.

Messed around with my pedals for the first time in a while. I didn't actually get a chance to play at all. Just as I got things hooked up and working (I had a bum patch cable) my parents came home and I became a noise hazard.

But it's okay, it was fun just to tear everything apart and reconfigure my whole board. Since my band disbanded, I can go from practical "what do I NEED?" mindset to just messing around and making fun noises by myself. Also cramming anything I can onto my board.

Today I found out my new upstairs neighbors are all profoundly deaf. & then the record store called and said my copy of the new Chelsea Wolfe had just arrived. So I went home and played it really loud. Yeah.

I'm leaving for a 3-day music fest in about 3 hours. I'm going solo, and don't know most of the bands.

I am very, very excited about all of that.

Also, I will be seeing Sleep on Saturday night. Again, very excited.

Thanks man! I've already been to my favorite bar and met people who know folks I know from back home, hundreds of miles away. And bumped into a really nice guy who remembered me from last year! Feels like I've stumbled into some kind of parallel universe. And in a couple hours, I'm gonna meet up with a guy I was friends in high school who I haven't seen in over twenty years. Crazy!
