why not wear your Kay id with pride? why throw such crap pickups on there? :idk: so many whys....

Also - i love Kays/Silvertones like this, but the price seems outta whack. Whatever your views on that kind've pin-striping, it doesn't enhance the value of the thing, let alone the whacky faux Gibson headstock which, open-book aside, is shaped more like a pre-Gibson Epi than anything either Gibson or Kay...not that you could tell for sure with the paint job....

oof, this is surprisingly enhancing my foul mood merhumblegrumble

why use what looks like a neck from an L6S?

ya think so? the heel isn't really common on anything *but* Gibsons - but that inlay is more like an Epiphone Blackstone? :idk: :snax:

If it's an actual Gibson neck, then...maybe it's worth a little more, until you get to the refin abomination....

Here's an Epi hackjob to complement that:

i'm not sure which concerns me more: the DIY cutaway, the general body condition, or those god-awful cloud inlays.

i think you're right about the Kay inlays...they're also similar to the blocks on a Casino. i wouldn't feel real confident about the way that neck is mounted, given that you can see the body contour distorted on the bass side in the rear photo.
