I logged 27 hours in ME2 and got tired of playing. Got caught up in looking for every little off-the-main-path thing I could find and just lost interest. Picked up AC: Brotherhood finally, during the Steam sales, and am finding myself doing the same thing with it. I'm 22 hours deep. Also, I need to finish Witcher 2 at some point. (50 hours)
I have a $100 amazon credit and can't think of anything to get besides demon's souls. Someone make a case for something RPG-y. Otherwise I'm getting a rice cooker.
Though I guess I can put the rest towards pre-orders...

Really didn't like ME:2 story-wise. I get the whole "setting up the trilogy" thing but really...the entire game revolved around companion quests and them BAM (some stuff either happens or doesn't) and game over! Please insert credit card to pre-order ME3. First one was pretty awesome. Would love to see the first remade with the combat of the 2nd.
Red Faction Armageddon: Take all the fun parts of RF:Guerrilla, gut most of it, stick it in a series of underground on-rails corridors filled with the same 3 or 4 monsters and turn it into a lame 3rd person shooter.
Okay so I've technically used emulators since I was like, 10 years old and my Macintosh Performa ran Kirby's Dreamland at 1/4 the speed of an NES. Since then I've had binges on and off-- most recently some Sega Saturn emulation and the almighty Radiant Silvergun-- but scope what I bought as an impulse buy when I saw they were going for ten bucks a pop on Amazon:
SNES USB controllers! Can't wait to try out Contra 3 with these tonight!

That's awesome! Would be very handy if I didn't already have a PSX-style gamepad. I need something with joysticks though.
Yesterday I died laughing in Battlefield: Bad Company 2...I was walking around with my revolver out (like a badass) 'cause killing people with revolvers and direct smoke grenade hits is my new thing, when I turned a corner and saw a machine gunner 10 feet away looking straight at me. We both freaked out, he immediately held down the mouse button and started waving his gun around, hoping for a kill. We both panicked so quickly that we were standing perfectly still while shooting at each other. I wasted all six rounds before even putting the sights on him then switched to my shotgun, fired randomly in his direction one time and blew him away. All of this happened within like six seconds. There were no obstacles whatsoever in the area, it was perfectly flat, we were both immobile and close to each other...and he missed with at least 100 rounds. Didn't hit me once. What the hell

HECK YES!
My bf, his girlfriend and myself were just sitting playing Amnesia (I was actually playing they were watching). Real screams and genuine terrors were had.
Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

I am not cut out for this game. I can only play for like an hour at a time, and most of that is spent cowering.
I'm only to the elevator. I was in the storage after blowing out the wall, and I swing open a door to look for some tinder and there's a freaking monster right behind the door. Every one of us screamed, I slammed the door shut, and sprinted further into storage, passing through a rooom where a random fire ignited. I spent the next five minutes, terrified, in a closet, waiting to get killed.

Dude that game was terrifying. I would not have been able to complete it had I not been playing with 3 other people over Ventrilo (we would wait for each other to reach the same spots in their games).
The second monster scared the shit out of me. Not the water demon, that was cool. I think it was in the same area you're talking about...I hadn't heard any warning sounds or anything so I casually walked up the stairs until I saw a glimmer of white and the feedback started up.
Recently started playing Terraria, its like a 2D Minecraft and it's pretty cool. The control system could be a bit better but I'm having fun building and exploring. The loot and crafting system is also surprisingly deep for a 10 dollar game. Plus you can play online!
