Looks nice, how's it sound? What are the 2x12s you have it stacked on?

It is a very naturally midrangy amp so its perfect for me. Its pretty damn loud for 70 watts. The natural break up on this thing is beautiful. I usually run it dirty then throw fuzz on top. I always believe that is how fuzz sounds the best. We are playing a show here in 2 weeks, it'll be my first time out with it. ill post some clips.

the 2 2x12's are Lopo Lines with Jensen 50 watt ceramics in them. one is closed back and the other is open back.

It's a custom Diabolical DA-17. I had John build it with 6V6 power section instead of their standard EL84. It goes from Fendery clean twang through stages to plexi OD sounds to old OR120 type tones up to almost Electric amp grrrrrr. It's a 17 watt super hero beast. It has become my main amp these days.

I need to take some sexy shots of it and share.

Nice, how do the Acoustic Neos sound?

Much brighter than my other past 210 cabs, just a 'wider' sounding speaker. I roll everything passed 800 hz off. Great cab for the money. I see NO need for the horn with these speakers. And it's like 40 lbs. :yay:

Like the idea of a 40 lb bass cab... How are the 10" Neo's with LF?

This is my new honey of an amp. Traded for it over winter and just had guitar amp guru Sid get it ready to rock last weekend. And scored a Katanasound Thundercloud fuzz that sounds soooooo good with this + bass! (thank you again for interwebs samples, mudfuzz!)

Sounds like a cranky muddy old Marshall with guitar + Menatone Workingman's Blue thru a 2x12" too - at ANY volume!

Other amps are a 300w Randall Cyclone for that warm + wonderful solid state armageddon-sound, and a 7/15 watt Blackheart Handsome Devil combo I use for recording and not scaring the neighbors...

It's got plenty of boom compared to other 2x10s, 1x15s... I'm a little biased because I'm used to playing my 8x10 cab which carries much more bass, but it's got some sonic boom.

I call this setup, the world's tiniest concert:

Too bad my Malekko trem doesn't work  Waiting to hear back about sending it in for warranty.

^ The local guitar shop guy keeps saying he's going to get those Micro Crush's in. They look like fun little battery power amps.

They make them different now, they're sorta rectangular.

That said, it's just an LM386-based amp. You can build one cheap. Here's an instructable for building an LM386-based amp; this circuit may actually sound better, dunno: http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Lit ... itar-Amp-/

I could probably build a higher-fidelity one (minus the tuner, of course. Overdrive channel could be improved by sticking in a 4558-based circuit or something instead of just piling gain on the LM386, which sounds bad.) but I've already got this little one, and it fills my portable amp needs for all sorts of occasions. Fits perfectly in a bag full of stuff so that I can go show kids how to circuit-bend toys, or when I want to go to the park and listen to the Beatles (in Mono, of course, hahaha.)

That would be so fun to record with.

I love to bust this out when I can:

Most of the time it's this thru the same cab (custom-built 2x12, Celestion g1275's):

The V18 has an array of NOS and JJ tubes, and the vox/celestion speaker from a defunct valvetronix 50 watter - 1st series, forget the number. For smaller gigs though, ch. 1 on the Super Champ and the 2x12 does the trick. Just a little delay from the amp's onboard plus dirt and fuzz galore! Sorry for the crappy pix.
