That's a $400 pedal meant to have tons and tons of options and flexibility. The MF delay is meant to be a simpler version of the MF104 for people who DON'T want all the extra complexity.
True. But I think the overall delay sounds better. Ignore all the extra control and even the modulation on the Tonal Recall and I'd still think it's a better pedal. The MF Delay I think could benefit from a tone knob instead of the drive. I know some people might use it, but the majority have dirt pedals that will push it to that area anyways. It can still get some awesome sounds and I've already included it on some travel boards over the TR because of its simplicity. And because when you're playing with a band, the nuance of the sound is lost anyways.

I do agree about the tone. The MF Delay is probably the delay circuit from the MF104Z or similar and that pedal was extremely dark. Moog is all about those preamp circuits as well because of how they growl up synths where the difference from clean to dirty is much more nuanced than guitar where its clear when you're one or the other.

Not ebay, but analoguehaven has brand new Snazzy FX mini-arks and Tracer Cities for sale.
http://www.analoguehaven.com/snazzyfx/ I guess they found them in their stock room. Paying it forward now that I ordered up my Tracer City!

omg I wish i could justify spending $499 for the Tracer City. I got a new handpainted Wow & Flutter last summer. He said at that time he might do more Tracer Citys. Maybe that will be this summer's pedal run.

Yeah I got my Cloudbuster there when there seemed to be no other options. I just ordered a Tracer City too. Always wanted to try one, and best part is if I don't like it I can flip it for a profit to some rich kid.

I had just missed out on a used Tracer City on Ebay and then found that Analogue Haven was selling new ones, I guess the universe has a way or working itself out. Happy to complete the trifecta since I already had a hand-painted wow & flutter and also a mini-ark, both of which I love. Excited for this thing to show up!

Does this remind anybody else of Strong Bad for some reason?

Also, this's being billed as "collector's grade", but are there really people who collect noise gates?

Steve Albini? I kinda want one to see if I can make it do that weird overly gated thing his tone has. I have a feeling that's a studio thing though.

Those are the ones people convert into slow gears...really similar inside.
And yes, that does look like Strong Bad.
