Just got back from Elysium, I dug the fuck out of it.
I don't get why people were giving it a hard go, better than fucking Oblivion and Pacific Rim. And you see guys take a grenade
to the face.

Got to jam again today. This time with guitar and drums (with me playing bass). It was the first time all of us played together and we all just clicked perfectly.
It's awesome playing with guys that have the same taste in music and similar directions in music. I have been trying to get a band going here for a couple years now and this is the first promising glimpse at it. And a three piece is my ideal number. Really helps that everyone is super solid on their instruments.
Just feeling so happy with my music direction right now that I had to share.

Cool dude! I might be jamming with some guys in a couple of weeks myself. It'll be the first time in like 6 months, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Just before I shut down my computer at work I went to facebook and saw a buddy post a Jeffey Lewis video and referencing a bar right around my corner in the post. I look it up on the net and it seems my favorite awesome antofolk-songwriter-poet-genius is playing a show in two hours, at a place two minutes walking distance. Needless to say my plans for the evening got changed around a little. I will pour my second gin tonic in a second, am listening to "It's the ones who've cracked that the sun shines through" and super stoked on the show. YEAH!!

I'm really trying not to sound corny up in here..... but I hung out with a new girl tonight..... and I don't think I've ever met anyone that I clicked with so easily.

Aw man I think I aced the fuck out of a job interview just now. It's just prepping food in a restaurant, but

The kitchen manager interviewing me really stressed that he was looking for someone who had a good work ethic and didn't wanna half-ass their job. It was miraculous.
