Somehow Instagram’s lumped me into MAGA-gram (Trump supporter instagram). So, I’m using this opportunity to report all the accounts with misinformation as misinformation (which is essentially all of them). It’s so satisfying. It might be my new kink.

Sometimes I forget that I live in South Korea. I’ll just be browsing social media, or walking to the store and it’ll hit me. It’s a really weird thing to remember. I mean, I just renewed my visa because I’ve been here two years. This shouldn’t be something I forget.
Some explanation, I use a vpn router so I can watch american netflix/hulu/prime, work 10-12 hour days, and work with fluent english speakers and translators. I also don’t really get out that often or even get reminded of or inconvenienced by the language barrier most days.

My phone is out for repairs for a few days as of this morning and... I am not proud of how dependent on it I clearly am now.

It's not as if my life is falling apart but I miss being connected to the outside world more.

When I play an electric guitar not plugged in, I still turn the volume and tone knobs up.. like that matters

A few years back I was fortunate enough to snag a ticket to see Ackercocke live. This was a big deal as it was a limited reunion, just a few select shows, one of which was on the shitty little island I live on!
So I turns up and the opening band get 25 minutes which they fill with delightful krautrock goodness. Theb the second band come on and have 40 minutes, which is filled with deathly dull sludge. Now, I love a good riff pounded into the ground but the riffs were not good, darling.
After 6 minutes of open string chug, I retreat to my car for a quiet cigarette.
I consider the fact that I have 30 odd minutes of boring doom followed by a local (and terrible, although they have given me some pure Spinal Tap memories) black metal band. I consider spending the next hour and a half sat on my own, chainsmoking in the car.
I decide at that point to simply go home and sack off seeing one of the greatest extreme metal bands there ever was.

On the bright side they've remained active so possibly you will get the chance to see them again?

Have they indeed?
If they ever pass through my neck of the woods again I shall make a point of seeing them! Even if I need to bring a book to pass the time until they get onstage.
Ah, the joys of not drinking at gigs...

I always take a book to gigs if I'm going by myself!

Yeah I think they're earmarked to play Incineration 2021 in Camden, can't imagine they won't do a few more dates around that (although I guess they're local so they might not?)

Since my only goal for 2021 is to jerk off a lot more... I might invest in one of these
