"Yeah, well, we started it."
Lol'd.
I laughed at that too. If I was going to give that honor to anyone it would be Dr.Scientist or Chase Bliss.

D.O.D.'s intended street price for the Carcosa is supposed to be $99 projected availability mid-July. Makes it really hard not to.

Or Subdecay or Empress or Moog. Or Electro Harmonix.

is there really more demand for modulation pedals nowadays?
i thought builders were just putting more effort in there nowadays since there's sixty billion fucking overdrive and fuzz pedals and it must be getting much harder to dent that market at all compared to the smaller but arguably less convoluted markets for modulation pedals and stuff.

Yea, and the circuits/DSP for said modulation are the next step once the basic high profit fuzz/gain pedals are covered.

Even then, the market is quickly getting oversaturated with PT2399 delays, Belton Brick Reverbs, Square Wave Tremolos, CE-2 based Choruses, Through Zero Flangers, FV-1 based everything.
ugh.
When you know how a big portion of the companies make their pedals, it gets pretty sickening to see the same thing with a new, slightly different adjustment added/subtracted over and over and over and over again.
It's almost as sickening as the Big Muffs, Tube Screamers, Rats, and Klones.

The Belton Brick is one of those things I've yet to see done well enough for me to care!

I meant of the newer "boutique" companies but I totally forgot about Subdecay!

I thought it was kind of a hilarious answer to a fucking stupid question.

"no there's no demand that's why we're making them."

I only pre-order/deposit builders who deliver. Also layaway. Otherwise fully agree, that's a rule I set for myself to keep the gearlust in check & let GAS dissipate. Much easier to deal with the HNGGGGGG than buyer's remorse before something is even paid off.

Truth. Although the old Spring Chicken LE/LTD with Dwell is something I'd like to grab again in the future. Max-Dwell oscillation swells brought-in via EXP pedal are a thing of beauty with a gnarly gated, velcro type fuzz in front. I really miss mine now that I think about it. It had a distinctive granular quality at those higher settings that wasn't *just another Belton brick*

Isn't the RM-1N Belton Brick? :erm:

Because that's the best shit ever! :animal:

Can get all the old ugly of vintage grain that I've heard in the RM-1N stuff with my $50 rack units to be blunt.
