Not to give too much away but
the next thing we will drop has
more like 2 mins of loop time and is a fairly complicated granular
there should be 2 larger time based effects released in 2016, one asap/late january and the other near the fall/winter.

we are finishing up manufacturing the current ct5 run for now, which should wrap up in January, then releasing the new guy (tentatively called "856 for ZELLERSASN")
and
producing both models during the first bit of 2016.
happy holidays ilf.
Holy cannoli!

On god guys. Something new after the CT5? I've flipped a CT5 once, should I not get another and wait for the new new?
I AM SO CONFLICTED

I guess that depends on what you didn't like about the CT5 the first time?
I had an opportunity to play a friend's version2 CT5 and I loved almost everything
about it. Most of the things that I wished it had are slated to be included in the
new version that's coming out (soon?!?!?!?).
I do still wish that the pedal was larger so that all that juicy functionality could be
user-accessed while playing (button for mode switch, also wish the input/output
jacks were a tad farther apart from each other). But all that is just my small quibbles.
And the CT5 already does so much that I want a delay/loop pedal to do. And with style.
What this new pedal is and does is not fully fleshed out. For me the scant details
Scott sketched out are very exciting and intriguing. But... if you flipped a CT5 for
any reason other than financial straits... then you've got to ask yourself what didn't
it do that you wanted it to do and are you interested in diving into tantalizing new
waters, or are you interested in revisiting something that has developed and changed
since you last encountered it?
But... since you used the word "and" instead of "or"... I guess you already answered
your own question:
You should get another
and wait for the new new.

The devices are really not that similar but probably tough convince anyone without further details. Also the price points will be different so that might help you make choices too (;.

think now that I have a rev J board, having had one of the first GB24's [which blew my mind...] but with my setup something was off,
but the latest version takes everything you wanted from that and the early CT5's plus heaps more. it's a work of mad genius.
think I can forego the higher quality version? for the new incarnation!
2016 bitches!

Yeah, I need to just not GAS for things I don't even know about yet.

very interested in any news about the upcoming longer-range, longer sampling time granular "looper", scott! ooking forward to hearing anything at all about it, and hoping for the inclusion of great realtime controls for live performers & improvisors who've still got live guitars & etc to hand!

Really irritated by this piece of crap selling a CT5 on reverb from the new batch which he admits hasn't shipped yet, for 400. -__-
What is wrong with people?

That's capitalism for you. If you think it's bad remember people sold $300 Watafuzzes for $800 right after they came out. And let's not talk about the $2000 Sonic Crayon stuff.
The prices will even out eventually.

Oh fuck you. Right in the anus.
I'm the ONLY one I know of that sold a Wata for that price. So you gonna talk about it, at least use my name!!!!
I bought that shit specifically to make money. Same if I bought a Sonic Crayon. Shit needs to make me money.
The CT5 no. Why? Because he's still making them. DUH.
