I keep going back and forth with the Unpleasant surprise. When I had a TAFM I didn't think I wanted it. Now, with no TAFM, I put Behndy's UP from the tourbox back on my board. And I don't wanna take it off.

Wait, I thought you liked it with the TAFM or did I misread what you wrote somewhere?

I liked them together, I just thought it was redundant to have 2 Fuzzes with similar sounds on my board. I didnt really like the more extreme settings of the UP on bass. Not bassy enough. But the more gated side was fucking great. But sounded really close to the TAFM. They were badass stacked though.

But there was this thing with the TAFM that I couldn't get over. No matter what, there was this weird high pitched droney noise that I guess was part of the fuzz, but it drove me kinda crazy. So when the Depth Charge came up, I flipped that bad boy. Now I can justify the Unpleasant Surprise Hehe.

Except the no money thing.

All I'm gassing for is something interesting to look at on the local CLs.

Dear jerks:

1. Just because you took a good picture of it doesn't mean it's a nice guitar.
2. Just because you changed the stock pickup to a $20 aftermarket doesn't mean it's "hod-rodded."

I've been dreaming about this setup for the last week:
Image

The one list is stuff I have
wc= Wolf Computer
bq= BitQuest
bo= Bass Octave Deluxe
mm= DMMTT550
fu= mini

The other list is stuff I want
poly= custom polypus with tap-tempo and expression out (don't know if this is possible where this would basically combine the functionality of the broadcast and the polypus, but Adam seems really really cool about making custom stuff)
Image

DD= DD5
Image

ex= mission engineering expressionator
Image

fi= DirgeSound/BigSound Filter

wa= warped vinyl vibrato pedal
Image

At the end of the chain I'll have a Digitech solo and express xt. Hopefully this would make it possible to tap out a single tempo on the polypus that would sync up every single time-based effect on my board. Then with the expression-out on the polypus, the expressionator, and the expression pedal I would potentially have access to synced modulation and parameter control that wouldn't be possible otherwise!

So far, just fix what will inevitably be wrong with it, add a trem to the 12, upgrade pups and electronics. gotta have my alumitones in there ;)
Then rock it Boris style :thumb:
If it works out I might try to get a side project going that can feature it.
