I love the EGC I have. If it wasn't amazing I wouldn't even attempt to put myself through this mess again. I'm at a point now though where it really is starting to get in the way of a project I'm working on. If there were another version of the guitar I'm ordering out there I'd consider buying that while I wait for the EGC but it doesn't really exist out there in a similar enough package. Hopefully it'll all work out and I'm mostly confident that it will but the waiting is the hardest part as Tom Petty once sang.

Well if that backburner theory is true then it seems we're all on that sonofabitch! Nobody has received shit since Beerhammer's debacle and his wasnt proceeded by much either.

I was told everything on mine is finally anodized except the back so probably several months to go for me. Fuck. :(

BUT. BUT DUDE. Remember when you ordered and he said he got these new machines that cut the waitlist in half??? When i ordered my guitar i was quoted that "the waitlist is usually 15 weeks but yours will be ready in half that". I ended up waiting almost 10 months for a guitar that, if egc can be believed, went from a block of aluminum to a finished guitar in a single day.

I think I'll be lucky if my wait is ten months.
Custom order. Ugh.

Companies do that all the time.... You move quickly, you hire a new employee, and you pick up the fucking pace. It's not that hard of a concept. :excellent:

If you've got a backlog of ten months on 2500$ guitars, and you can output 1 guitar a week day, that's 200 guitars. 200 x 2500 = $500k.

If I had half a million dollars in back orders waiting on me to get off my ass and do it, I'd get off my ass and do it. Not sit online and post "woe me".

Seems like they're going through that thing of having an excellent product and then struggling to get over the hump of scaling the business to accommodate increased demand once the cat gets out of the bag. Happens to small, good builders all the time. Hang in there everybody!

Since They're struggling to give even somewhat close ETA's on new orders (and existing ones) I'd have to agree. But if they were really concerned about that, you would think that they would post a Now Hiring or something on FB. I'd imagine out of all their fans on FB somebody lives closeby thats looking for a job and would be willing to work their ass off for them.

production run last i heard. there will be at least one at rock n roll vintage in chicago which had EGCs when I was there in 2011. It's built by EGC, for Travis Bean.
