SDs are great pickups... I hate EMGs though.

Really once you get over the "METAL" look of that guitar it's self even when it had "METAL" pickups it sounded like a fender, so I took that as a sign to go for more vintage voiced pickups to enhance what was there, pluss "to me" I think the Filtertron looks hot in this guitar, and being as it my guitar :lol:

Not only cool be they were cheep! The V was under $100, and the Kelly was $260 because I got it in the "grunge" era :lol:

oh and the caliber classic mockingbird... :love:

i will change pick ups some day and have them split coils and reverse phase with push pulls. probably get a four way toggle so i can do series and parallel.

Thanks magiclawnchair! I've got a "wide" neck model. According to the specs on the site:

Neck Taper is 21.5 mm at the 1st fret and 23.5 mm at the 12th fret
Width of the neck at the nut: 1 3/4"; at the 21st fret: 2 1/4"
