I will make sure to check that out! I remember it now. I never saw it but I was aware of it at the time of its release. Looks fantastic.
Regrettably, it is not on Netflix

I always loved both bands, but didn't know the vast majority of this stuff.
I guess that a lot of the musicians criticized the film heavily?
Why be so involved, then? Even recording and writing a voiceover...?
Fishy. Brilliant bands and movie though.
Thanks for this.

IMHO They don't like the fact that the film/Ondi Timoner's editing makes them all look like self-important shitheads. If you get the DVD check out the Dandy's commentary -- it's gold-plated gold as they try to rationalize/avoid what they said on the film.

Yeah, honestly I think I liked that enough to buy a DVD of it, for sure! Hard to deny things you were saying and doing on camera, editing aside.D.o.S. wrote:IMHO They don't like the fact that the film/Ondi Timoner's editing makes them all look like self-important shitheads. Did you ever watch The Kids Are Alright? It's a different (cut together from performance and interviews) but similar sort of thing, the story of The Who's career and just them being stupid and irreverent and brilliant. At one point John Entwistle uses his gold records for target practice LOL... definitely a good watch

We were talking about The Who in some other thread, thought you might be interested

Re: The what you just got thread!
Also this thread inspired me to catch up on the last few BJM records. Not disappointed. The songs with Asia Argento are haunting. He really is doing some incredible stuff.
