Oh snap, I got a phone job interview. Like a phone interview, not a job involving phones (that's what I do now). This would be an actual career starter job and would see me moving to Washington D.C.

second interview seemed to go even better than the first. my main contact there said they have one more person to interview before they make their decision, which i expect will take place tomorrow. which means that i'll be their benchmark in interviewing the other candidate. either way, i've gotten to a point where i'm OK with it. still waiting with a certain amount of nervousness, but i think it's a definite possibility.

I increased my medication dosages and as of right now I'm really happy
It's early days so there will be ups and downs but yeah, for the moment I feel relaxed and content
And I just snuggled with my dog for about an hour, it was so nice

THEY WON'T COME NEAR ME. And did they play any new material? Does Schuylar Croome still have his beard?

They're one of my favorite bands and it's KILLING ME that they're nowhere near me on this reunion tour.

I hope the new album is good.

They didn't play anything new, actually. Lots of stuff off It Hates You, one or 2 from Suck Out the Poison, and a couple from I Am Hollywood. They ended with the Seduction, which was a blast. And Schuylar mashed up Daft Punk's "Something About You" and China White 1. So that was awesome.

Yes, he still has his beard.

Having take-home tests essentially photocopied out of the textbook is awesome.

It's even more awesome when you find the textbook solution manual posted to some website.

YEAHHHHH BITCH.

Today was the second time I jammed with these two dudes and I'm really happy with the way things are going. We all play off each other really well and they've complimented my playing a lot, I'm able to fuzz it out and get weird with encouragement / no qualms, the drummer throws out some super interesting rhythms and the guitarist just does his own thing creating a wash of sound behind the riffs/rhythm. The drummer recorded our jams today on some old tape reels he had; didn't have any monitors but he said it sounded great though his phones. We probably have 4 solid songs to go off just from today. Can't wait for him to transfer them to his computer and send them my way.

I have to drive an hour to get to the practice spot, and I don't engage in as much small talk as they do with each other, but whatever I'm still stoked.
