So I'm fucking retarded apparently. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the Maschine record or make the screen displays light up. I watched tutorials, read the manual...etc. Does not happen. I am missing a crucial step somewhere and I just don't get it. I fucking SUCK at this shit so bad. It's hard learning a new platform all together. Each year I get older, I swear to God I get worse with computers. I just can't keep up.

Anyway! HELP! HOW THE FUCK DO I RECORD SHIT AND MAKE MY MENU LIGHT UP?????????? Also, where are some actually decent tutorials for noobs and not just those dumb ass Native Instruments ones that go so fucking fast I can't understand anything?

No man. I actually took one back, got this one and same thing.

My friend can't get his Maschine to output sound through his monitors, but any other audio from his laptop will come through.
So he just noodles around via the crappy built-in speakers, it's sad.

Just doing my part to get to page 625 quickly.

I found Maschine not hard to set-up the inputs and outputs.

As far as recording, I push which group I want to use, find a sound. I go down to the bottom and drag it over how many bars I want the part to be. I hit shift and record so I get a one bar count in and then record the part.
JWAR, I am wondering if you are not dragging the thing where it shows how many bars because you can't just kind of freely record. It has to be kind of planned out. If you have 0 bars selected then you can't record.
