I'm super stoked for Desertfest NYC - I don't think the whole lineup has been released yet, but Windhand + Elder + Monolord is enough to get me there!
Oh, and after that, Jawbox - my inner 90's indie kid is incredibly excited.
And Baroness + Zeal & Ardor!

Nice! I'm seriously thinking of catching him in Boston shortly after that.

High on Fire cancelled because Matt Pike almost lost his foot to diabetes. Not even bummed about the show, just hope he gets better.

well, the north end of the year is starting to fall into place. i'm seeing El Ten Eleven tonight here in Charlottesville. next is Bob Mould for Valentines' Day. after that March/early April will be busy, with Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball of Gomez 3/15, Swervedriver in Brooklyn 3/29, and an Italian shoegaze band called Be Forest in Brooklyn 4/3. might see Spiritualized in Philly on 4/19.

Would love to see Bob Mould again, he's always good. Last time I saw it was in a big festival 5 or 6 years ago and it didn't make justice to him.
Also Be Forest

i follow Brooklyn Vegan on the internet every day. they're really good for upcoming tour announcements, and especially useful for events in NYC. happily i don't have to drive to New York until the Swervedriver gig on 3/29...that eight-hours-one-way commute really burns me out. i do not care for leaving by 10 AM and getting home at like 7 AM the following day.
the last time i saw Bob was eons ago with Sugar. that was the first concert i ever saw where they handed out earplugs at the door.

and Stereolab are touring in September. they're in Brooklyn the night i get home from my 3-week mountain road trip, so i'll likely drive from Colorado to New York rather than going straight home.

Bought a ticket to see Anna Von Hausswolff in a church in March. Also seeing some rad Norwegian bands in the coming months: Møster!(March 14th) and Motorpsycho(April 11th).
