Yeah, they're certainly a one-trick pony, but they're really good at that one thing. Zack De La Rocha's lyrics are pretty over the top, but anything less extreme wouldn't fit the music. They are pretty silly and suburban-punk-esque, definitely the weakest part of the band. Fortunately, I don't really give a crap about lyrics. That said, I think Rage are excellent and Tom Morello is possibly the greatest guitarist of the last 20 years.

On that note. I fucking hate Animal Collective. It just sounds like four guys dicking around with loopers and shouting while totally unaware of the other three members of the group.

although i will put on anco's MWPP sometimes because it is pretty dece.

Whenever someone mentions Deerhunter, I think of Deerhoof. Deerhoof is awesome; Deerhunter sucks. I also hate any sort of folk/indie-folk music. I do however like certain anti-folk groups(fuck yeah, The Moldy Peaches).

EDIT: Also, Sasha Grey is dece. Not the hottest woman ever, but certainly better than the average plastic fantastic porn actress. I don't understand why people think Anne Hathaway is attractive.

I don't hate them but there's no reason for me to listen to Animal Collective. I also don't like Joanna Newsom with her annoying voice and whimsical songs, but the worst thing is that sometimes I almost enjoy her singing.

I think the only artist I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT FUCKING STAND is Peaches.

i've found this week that i really like animal collective now, you just really really not to not pay any attention to what people say about (good or bad), it makes listening a lot easier. it's really beautiful. also MWPP is the one I like least.

agree with the deerhunter comment a bit, always loved atlas sound waaaaaaaaaaaaay more. cryptograms ftw though.

Yeah, it's all a matter of what you consider important. Yeah, Joanna Newsom is pretty meh. In a weird tangent, I do not, and will never understand the appeal of the song Peaches.

idk, i love nothing more than alt bands attempting hip hop. haha.

but i probably didn't give anco a fair try. i downloaded sung tongs and hated it so i went to mwpp and didn't bother with much else.

a lot of bands are like that though. it's so easy to let hype color your opinion.
