System Shit recorded all drum/bass tracks for the split with Vitriolic Response and the drum tracks for the split with SRAM.

There are one or two parts where I need to punch in some bass notes, but we really just need guitars and vocals. The split with SRAM is going to be fucking NUTS.

I've been really dissatisfied with my bass recently but today I gave it just a quick setup and it's great again! Probably should have just done this ages ago.

A nicely set up bass is one of the best things.

well, my life is insistent about becoming more interesting. in addition to the agency which contacted me last week regarding work, i had a call today from a recruiter who wants to present me to a pharmaceutical firm ten minutes' drive from my cousin's home. so just when i was literally packing my things to leave under a black cloud i now am up for a $20/hr. job that'd go through next February. i'm going to take a nap because i can't process all this...not in a bad way, but it's just fuckin' strange, you know?

I just watched tobacco kill a set and get kicked off the stage by security. Apparently they didn't like the visuals. The Flaming Lips killed it though. Fucking incredible.

downloaded the trial version of InDesign CS6 yesterday so i can study for the software test tomorrow. it really reminded me of the things i like about doing layout/production artist work. it would make me very happy to be back in my field if it works out. if it or one of the other opportunities doesn't pan out, i'm out of here within two weeks. i just want to know where i'm going next and what i might be doing. work in Chicago or a new location far away where i'll apply for crazy-people disability, i really don't care. i'm so sick and tired of drifting.
