In light of recent Twitter activities....
I've always thought Neil deGrasse Tyson was an insufferable, condescending wet blanket and that he and his cheerleaders (specifically the IFLS crowd) are guilty for helping science remain seen as elitist, condescending, and something that should be fought against rather than fostered.
t. a jaded geneticist who is exponentially happier in the corporate world than I ever was in science.

I feel like my brain is incapable of writing the kind of music that I want to be making and that makes me not want to play.

I have these exact feels. Half the reason for my minimalist approach is because I feel like I lack the knowledge to create anything more complicated

I've replied to threads/posts about 20 times this week and then just backspaced and bailed before posting. Every time I have a thought or something is relevant to my experience or what's going on right now, I feel like it comes out super depressing and/or pointless.

Same here, and my fingers are just as lame as my brain. They just won't wiggle the way I want them to.

Damned right, Corey. I usually enjoy reading your posts. You're very erudite.

i played today with some of my co-workers for the semi-annual company picnic which we usually play. it was fun, but my right hand was sloppy as all hell...it was a little embarrassing. the amp also played up a couple of times in the second set...i guess i'm going to have to get another set of power tubes. fucking JJ tubes can bite me.

Dude peep out tube depot. They sell Sino black plates which are cheap and sound great imo.
I've been there with the right hand bit for sure.. when I sit down and play now I run through all my right hand picking exercises from back in my shred metal days.. plus I play my 8 string a lot now and it's still not as familiar as the 6 or 7 so I occasionally get lost. It's becoming more seldom though.

I'd fuck Ann Coulter and Kellyanne Conway without a second thought or regret. I like 'em lanky, haggard and without a shred of decency.
