Sampling is not required to make badass stuff. I have sampled drums for making kits. If I was to sample it would be for humor or if I really thought it brought something. I have sampled Nirvana's drums before. I have chopped a sample up and made it an instrument to play essentially.

Maschine is an awesome tool for making interesting music. all in how you use it. i use mine mostly to chop up/tweak out ectro drum hits (not loop samples, one shot hits) to drop into my drummer's pad based sampler. so much GOODNESSHOHEHFFWHEIURHIBV AOSDNV KANSVN.

fuck ME i'm tired. we just finished up recording the drums (acoustic and electro ) for 2 songs we're going to get As Good As We Can At Practice to get some a'ight stuff on the FB's and tracked the last of the vocals and keys for the scratch tracks for the engineer dood we're going to work with early August. ESCITED. but butt ass tired.

moof. huh. actually, does anybody that knows what they're doing want to take a wack at 'em? it's two songs, the electro drums, bass, vocals and keys are recorded decently, the acoustic drums..... are ok. i don't know SHIT about setting up mics, so it was one mic for the cymbals, one near the snare for the snare and toms and a kick drum mic. the kick doesn't have much bleed through, the other two do.

there would be.... hugs and some thanks in it for cha. SECHSY HUGS. we're just trying to get something decent'ish until we go into record for really realz.

Quick dumb question. Do I have to have this thing connected to an interface? If not, what do I do to make it produce sound through my speakers? The pads light up and it shows that there is sound, but nothing actually comes out.

If I knew how to help you two, I would.....but I don't.
