Problem with the Timeline is that it's mostly good for ambient delays.
You can tweak it for rhythmic delays but it's not easy because you have to use the (not that great sounding) eq in it.
With the options I mentioned I can do ambient and rhythmic delays on just one setting, that's part of why I prefer them.

Someone tell me about this thing. I'm assuming it's a PLL clone of sorts, but who built it (and can I haz demo)?

That's one of Dig2t's PLLs. It has the original Schumann PLL extensions built in, as well as a swap feature I know nothing of. One recently sold on ebay for way too much, although I'm not sure if it's that one.

Now that I look at it, it might be a pseudo preset switch, with two different configurations of dividers/multipliers. It's a cool idea, as the PLL can get a lot of wildly different sounds.

I like this thread. It's where I ask all my stupid questions, like this one:

Are there any delay pedals where you can change the tone of both the "original" signal and the repeats? Say I want the initial sound to be very dark, yet get bright and crisp repeats? I know there's a tone knob on my guitar, but I'd like to kick it in mid-riff, also rolling back on the highs on the guitar would also lower the highs that the pedal has to work with when producing the bright repeats, no? Hmmmmm... Does that make any sense? Am I derping hard?

Paraloop with one side having a fully wet delay and the other an eq/filter? :animal:

Now that I think about it, is there a delay with separate tone controls for the dry and repeats? I'm kind of surprised that I can't think of one.

i can't really think of any with tone control over dry signal, huh..
that's an interesting question, i mean lately people just seem to expect analog dry-thru on everything so we end up with all these delays pedals where you have zero control over that, it'd have to be fun to try.
i haven't tried this, but wouldn't one of those zoom MS-50 kinda boxes be able to do that? set up an EQ type effect and blend it with a delay then use the stomp switch to turn it all on at once? i mean the paraloop solution would work too it'd just need a lot more space and money, although you'd be able to pick any kind of delay and filtering you wanted there i guess.

Man, that'd be a cool pedal with control over wet and dry.

I'm not sure I would find much use in that, if you wanted to get dark initial sounds and cripsy repeats, I would run 2 amps with an AB and put a delay in one of the signals and run the amp bright. I know that sounds complicated but you could do a lot of cool combos with more than just delay I suppose.

H9 has pre (for teh swells?) and post volume that you can control with an expression pedal. It should be in the Timefactor in the next firmware update.

thanks, but that's pretty overboard for what I need. going to give the obscura a shot if sonni doesn't have any analog delays lying around. no master volume, but the supernatural doesn't fuck with signal much so hopefully this hangz

Thanks, duders! Seems like a lot of effort to put that one idea I have into life. Maybe I can get some ILF builder to make me a one off delay that will give me control of both the dry and wet signals tone.
