I hate when I hear an awesome tone, so I google what it is... and I find out it's just some Boss pedal. Not even a vintage one.

Or worse. A lot of the Flaming Lips stuff is just done with a GT-8! Gah... pisses me off.

In the studio they use a ton of obscure old pedal and homemade modded ones, he uses the FM4, DL4, and GT8 only for live purposes.

i'm getting really sick of this attitude that because some one likes better equipment they're an elitist. it just echos the anti intellectualism you see in politics. there is nothing elitist about liking tube amps and asking musicians to be semi competent at their chosen instrument.

To answer the question,my least favorite pedal would have to utility shit(tuners,noise suppressors,etc.). Necessities,but they don't krackle,sustain,sputter,oscillate,warble,or do anything tonally interesting. Amp-wise,I'd have to say my pop's little Behringer is pretty horrible(15wt. practice combo),and the shttiest guitar I've ever played was one of my 6 year old's first electrics with a built-in amp. Aside from that,I think I've liked some aspect of everything else I've ever played with/through.
