Why do you find it more interesting now ?

this last bit here......

Vex says he intends to eventually publish each of his designs for free on the internet, giving away the schematics and the instructions on how to assemble the circuits for every last one of his signature pedals. He is also creating an iPhone app that will let you purchase new pedal modules as they become available and view the published schematics.

“I’m going to be giving away all my secrets,” he says. “People are already hacking my pedals anyway, posting my designs on the various forums. So, I don’t care what they do to them.”

if you go back and check the post that Zack responded to in the first place, that is exactly what I said, that he was building this pedal as a result of people hacking his pedals, copying his designs and outright pissing him off.....

I expect more, as a electronics nut i think this idea is a lot of fun, but i see ZVex pedals as the builders of the FF and the probe and ooh wah and so many freaking cool pedals (even those little amps are shit hot and i'd own one if i could afford it) that waiting months to see his "groundbreaking design" end up being this tells me that possibly he's too hung up on people messing with his shit to focus on the forward motion he took in creating new and cool things....

that's it.... i think he's catering to people who build their own zvex clones or bag on his designs.... i wanted to see a pedal i was ready to use my tax refund check on.....

but that's going to be the W :thumb: orkhorse... so whateva.....

"The pedals, with their sparkling, brightly painted cases and bizarre names, are considered high-end curios — they cost between $250 and $500 each."

THAT is 100% correct :bob:

Since Big Man Zach is in da house....
Will there be a lo-fi loop junky module?

I mean, I was thinking of just building one straight into my board cornish style, but dismembering a painted lo fi loop junky seems like blasphemy and if ya don't mind getting a module and placing that in their seems like the best solution.

I was just going to post that quote in the "So The Battle Begins" or whatever thread that I made on yr forum.

Props for that though. I have enjoyed vex so far, much better than what I've seen on HCFX. :thumb:

edit:

Vex? you should shoot a vid demonstrating how this works. :poke:

Which is why Matt Bellamy and Jack White have had numerous hits using them. Curios indeed. But real sonic tools to music professionals. Dunno what a private dick would do with one.

It will be released in April/May, so there's plenty of time for that.

Hasn't Mr. White only used a wooly mammoth once? For the bond theme with alicia keys even....
