Gear doesn't just mean your instruments and pedals. The other night I was playing with my balls and I started pushing them up towards my stomach. Had I been afraid, I would have never tried... but I got my balls above my penis just by pushing them up towards my abdomen.
That said, I am sort of worried they might get lost up there, but I don't really use them anyway. Not even for jerking any more.
