I'm lost. Can you spell it out for me which one? Dead serious and sorry.
He means Chaos Echoes. It is good.

It is a very good record! So is the collab with Mats Gustaffson. Sadly I finally got an LP copy and the vinyl sounds like shit. Lots of surface noise and pops. Thankfully I am a completist and ordered the tape at the same time

speaking of Chaos Echoes, the double cd of live stuff that just came out is really great.

I need to catch up on what everyone else posted but... per one of my favorites from 2012... this song is fitting.

It’s seriously great - the first disc with the complete live set is especially brilliant and sounds absolutely fantastic.

I just posted about this in the prog thread cause I decided this counts. This was a classic for me when it came out.

Ok, I actually started a note around new years beacause I've been a bit nostalgic, summing up my life etc. This might be a bit more mainstream than what I usually post and lack a bit of psych and noise, but still reflects a very real part of me and my listening habits:

(order is random)
Parquet Courts - Sunbathing Animal
Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma
Grimes - Visions, Art Angels
Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked At Me, Now Only
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Battles - Gloss Drop
Sharon Van Etten - Remind Me Tomorrow
Björk - Vulnicura
Oneohtrix Point Never - R Plus Seven
Causa Sui - Euporie Tide
Thee Oh Sees - Mutilator Defeated At Last
Tim Hecker - Ravedeath, 1972
Thea Hjelmeland - Kulla
Swans - To Be Kind
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Skeleton Tree
Arctic Monkeys - AM
Jenny Hval - Apocalypse, Girl
Julia Holter - Have You In My Wilderness
Let's Eat Grandma - I'm All Ears

Hell Yeah Eivind! I'm not re-reading my posts but I think I mentioned a ton of those. To keep it simple BATTLES (actually that album is my 2011 time capsule... takes me right back to one of the funnest Summers of my life), PARQUET COURTS (I actually think I prefer 'Light Up Gold'), OBVIOUSLY FLY LO, ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER is another one that take me back to a particular Summer, THEE OH SEES are just one of my favorites in general, SWANS (no question), and my best friend and I adore JENNY HVAL (we knew here as Rockettothesky back in the day).

I know for a fact I have done more deadlifts and military presses to GRIMES 'Visions' than anybody on this forum, if not the whole world. That album was HUGE for me. I haven't really followed GRIMES since unfortunately. I have the CD so I'd throw it right in the boom box before workouts. Good times!!!!

My man! You should definitely check Art Angels out as well. There is a frenetic energy to that album that I think you would like.

A good friend I grew up with started a music blog at JUST the right time where he still has it and makes some money off it. We remember when Claire E-mailed him a submission... it was 'Geidi Primes'.

Honorable mention for cool HNW release last decade. It's VOMIR and Yoshihiro Kikuchi. VOMIR did his usual thing and Yoshihiro programmed repeating blast beats.
