Moid tracks are now in the folder - thanks very much to Shikawkee and Heraclitus Akimbo for their help
Our tracks are more about open skies with some clouds - we went for low Okta values, so I hope that works for some of you. Most of the tracks have the same music going through different effects for each channel, so you may find that you prefer the left or the right channel - just split them up and use what you like. Looking forward to hearing everyone's creations! We may have gone a bit too defined now that I listen to more tracks that everyone else has made - we were thinking of the sun breaking through clouds so the sound would go from soft to defined and back again... oh well, just add tons of reverb, it'll soften down eventually

I was digging through digitized wax cylinders for another idea I'm working on, and on a whim did a search and came across this:
Sunshine and cloud
Should we add this as a "special" item in the pool of source material? (Biggest downside is that you can only grab it as an MP3. But this isn't the highest fidelity source material!)

This month has been a really weird one, hopefully tonight will be the night for getting stuff finished off and submitted though!

Noodling today for a group drone event tomorrow, so this will probably generate some more material.
Here's something that happened a couple weekends back when I was drone-noodling... trying to interpret a postcard composition by a friend of mine:

Sounds good and works with the visuals - I like the use of really early CG movies

I spotted bits of Ed Emshwiller's Sunstone and also some of the Utah Teapot renders.

Here's a check-in and update for the last weekend before the first deadline...
Looking at the
shared folder, I see tracks from the following folks:
Heraclitus Akimbo
Moid
Dowi
JM Charcot
shikawkee
ProCarstenNation
coldbrightsunlight
Dandy13
Which means there are no tracks from:
Aedes
cantremember
Dapper Bandit
MrNovember
chamberpain
Paul_C
aquietcabin1978
Ognoy
Although there were "workin' on it" messages from some of y'all above.
If you need to check in or have some sort of confuzzlement, feel free to msg me.

I'm probably not going to have any time to record anything else, so I am going to upload everything I have right now. Note, most of this stuff is just super rough takes while I was messing around, so I'm excited to see what someone can do with it

Good going folks! I'm sticking with the two simple tracks I uploaded so as not to overwhelm.
Looking forward to the next phase.

I sent Shikawkee another link to my folder. I updated with another group of tracks but still can't upload to the ILF dropbox directly.
I just want to say I had a great time so far working on these. I like the tracks I ended up doing to the point that I almost feel like they work as standalones with just a little bit of love. That said, I may end up throwing them on my Soundcloud at some point but in the meantime I can't wait to hear what you guys do.
A little look behind the curtain since we are (mostly) all gear nerds:
Tracks 1, 2, 3 are all one track, no overdubs. Moog Grandmother>Rainbow Machine>Revolver>Space>Logic.
Tracks 4,5,6 all one Stereo track, no overdubs. Folktek Mescaline>Folktek Resonant Garden>Logic
Tracks 7,8,9 all one track, no overdub. EOB strat>Zoia>Logic
Most tracks have a touch of compression/Limiting added in Logic

Drop me a PM if you have any questions.
shikawkee, I just sent you a PM with a link to my uploaded folder.
Thanks to all involved!
