I'm guessing a close-out. Wasn't always that cheap. I wouldn't wait too long if you're on the fence. It's not a bad pedal, either -- does that Boss shimmery, etched thing pretty well, and not just with the "for the money" qualification. I think it'll stay on my pedal board, and I've also got a Guyatone MC-3 and vintage MXR stereo chorus.

I like my Ibanez SC-10 (into really obnoxious settings atm). I want to try the Cosmichorus and I still haven't gotten around to checking out anything in the starcaster series for cheap goodness.
