Same guy! Cool you’ve heard of him and his band. There’s an impostor floating around that confuses a lot of people to the fact that he was a legit cool artist at one point.

The problem with it is it seems like a good idea but if you live in a area with lots of moistness the tape comes off and you have to go back to other ideas to keep your knobs from being able to move... so really I think you should goop the tops of all your pedals.

This is a good idea,

Try Hysol11c It's a 2 part epoxy so it should lock everything in really well, plus you won't have to bake it to cure.

I like that this has turned into the "remember when Santana was good" thread

I've never listened to good santana. All that garbage you normally hear burned santana shaped holes in my ears at a young age and I've just never had any interest in exploring or paying attention to any of it. I'm glad to know there's good santana out there, but i probably won't be able to get into it. It just feels too much like I'm throwing in the towel on life to start liking santana now that I'm in my 40's.

Bro I’m 38 and got down with Santana like, this year (aside from the LP he did with John McLaughlan I picked up a few years ago), you’re only old if you allow yourself to feel that way!!

I don't feel old, but I would if I liked Santana.

I'm mostly kidding. I get into stuff all the time that I never would have thought I would like. Carlos just doesn't do it for me so far. If he tapes his pedals though, I might get interested.

 I've never really been able to like anything other than soul sacrifice, and that's because of the rhythm section :idk:

to me classic Santana was all about the rhythm section, that huge unstoppable roiling wall of motion.
