The most obnoxious thing to me in the music industry is when some asshole tries to ruin the magic of it. It doesn't matter if he/she is right or wrong, it's the simple fact that they are trying to destroy it for no reason other than their own bitterness.

OK, I'll grant you that it cancels out all his jazz stuff. That still leaves his entire body of soundtrack work.

Extremely talented people can still be assholes and wrong about things sometimes.

I find his shade pretty funny tho, don't have to take it seriously just because of his reputation or whatever.
